1676 AD GERMANY ABRAHAM VON FRANCKENBERG
A likeness of Abraham von Franckenberg, the Silesian nobleman who met Jacob Boehme in 1623, revered him for the rest of his life, and became his first biographer, writing and reworking a hagiographic life of the mystic across eight versions between 1631 and 1651. Franckenberg himself died in 1652; this card's 1676 date falls within the wider wave of posthumous Boehme and Franckenberg reprints that circulated through the later 17th century.
