2024 AD USA MATHWORLD WOLFRAM STELLA OCTANGULA
The stella octangula entry on Wolfram MathWorld, Wolfram Research's online mathematics encyclopedia: the compound of a tetrahedron and its dual, named by Johannes Kepler and shown here as a stellation of the octahedron, the solid shared by both interpenetrating tetrahedra. MathWorld notes that the two tetrahedra's edges trace out the twelve face diagonals of a cube, and that the compound's convex hull is that same cube, the identical stellated-octahedron form that runs through this whole corpus under its more common name, the merkaba.
