Dan Hnatio

Founder / Executive Director,
Active Communications

"Having established Active Communications, and today with 30+ years award winning experience, aesthetics and technology remain complements to content and story. Initially providing technical services and lighting, I later evolved to shooting, program directing, producing broadcast, and industrial projects for fortune 500 companies, ABC News, PBS, and CNN. My field production, lighting, and sound acquisition background was based in the Arts. I later earned varied awards as an accomplished practitioner in field engineering and multi-camera acquisition. As well as managing a video production group since 1982, I'm an adjunct at Emerson College, Framingham State College International Education Programs, and have been an instructor at Boston Film and Video Foundation. To stay sharp, I recently completed my terminal MFA."
