Flyer

One page, handed over, carrying the whole argument.

D5 Flyer: a collage of the work in this chapter

Distributed notice, typically a one-sided, one-page posted list of future options or events, describing who, what, where, and when.

Detailed

A printed notice that advertises a particular company, service, or event. An audience requires order, a list of facts, establishing a time, place, and context for products, services, opportunities, or future events.

Handout

Brief tag-lines and clever titles, inform, motivate, intrigue, and correctly applied, stimulate the mind with a textual purpose that leads the observer to action. Multiple, focused messages promote awareness, answering the what, where, when, who.

Page

A flyer is most often a small sized, typical "U.S. Letter" (8.5 inch by 11 inch), or a slightly larger A2 International Standard (ISO). Outside the U.S. there is no difference between "flyer" and "flier", though the first is twice as common.

"Award winning professional design and creative, requires an aesthetic intelligence, an innovative confidence to think literally and figuratively in a unique, unprecedented way. As an American Advertising Federation's ADDY judge, in both the Tampa Bay and Space Coast regions, I've previously won, myself, ADDY Awards, four consecutive 'Best of Show' and 'People's Choice' working for Boss and the S2 Advertising Agency. For my designs, artwork, and catch phrases to have netted monetary prizes, I'd produced slogans like, "My sport ate your sport for breakfast," with Performance Designs; eight years now, still #1 world-wide. 'Taste of 24', promotes ISC, Daytona State, and Rolex 24 where Barton James' food and event photography excelled. An American Heart Association's proposed flyer featured his grandfather and son, for the 'vfheartwalk.org'."
