7500 BC ARMENIA KARAHUJI VILLAGE PREHISTORIC ZORATS

7500 BC ARMENIA KARAHUJI VILLAGE PREHISTORIC ZORATS

A field of standing basalt stones on a mountain plateau near Sisian, some pierced with a small round hole near the top. Proposed dates for the site's earliest use range across the prehistoric period, and its function, burial ground, ritual site, or astronomical observatory, is still debated among archaeologists.
