200 BC INDIA UJJAIN COIN

200 BC INDIA UJJAIN COIN

A "cross-and-balls" Ujjain symbol on ancient Indian coins excavated at Ujjain, dated by the source to roughly 2,000-3,000 years old. Dr Manoshi Bhattacharya proposed these coins as the earliest evidence of the satkona symbol; the coins entered Western scholarship through Colonel James Tod.
